Jodhpur`s Umaid Bhawan is India`s only palace built in 20th century as a famine-relief program. The project employed hundreds for nearly 16 years. It has now been converted into a hotel and a museum.

Handcrafted in Orissa
Indian arts and crafts, like this applique, are world renowned. Unlike traditional quilting or patchwork, applique is created by elaborately stitching pieces of cloth and sometimes mirrors onto a colored base cloth.
