Karmayogi Pratisthan Activities (2008-09):

The following local traffic related work was done from Jan 2008 - December 2008:

Civic activities related to traffic:

Suggestions in relation to increased traffic due to bridge construction were implemented by Traffic police viz. general right turn management of Sion hospital and trucks/ luxury buses not to be allowed between 6 and 9 pm.
Traffic warden implemented at junction of Shanmukhananda sabha in co-ordination with the sabha trustees.
Traffic warden implemented at Amulak school, in co-ordination with the school trustees
Traffic warden implemented at and Telang Rd-Bhandarkar Rd junction.
Road dividers put at RA Kidwai Rd, to regulate the turn towards Flank Road.
Co-ordinated with local citizens and traffic police to remove a newer “Hawking zone” from near GTB station and Bhaudaji Rd.
To enable pedestrians to cross easily increased signal timings at Gandhi market, Jain society and LTMG Hospital (recurring problem) and its zig-zag crossing made pedestrian friendly.
Co-ordinating with the traffic police on placements of home guards, during bridge construction.
Co-ordinating with the traffic police to implement the won PIL in Bombay High court (2006) against towing methods, specially in the by-lanes.
